Tee it Up on St Maarten Golf Courses

For golf courses over the Caribbean, golfers often visit the Barbados Golf Club, Buccaneer Golf Course, but skip the St. Maarten Golf Course.

It is such a treat, you know, to have a nearby golf course on your Caribbean vacation. Most people don't know that splendid golf courses are also available over the Caribbean.

And if you are a golf aficionado, why not turn your family vacation into an event where you can also bring your whole family (or sneak by yourself) into these superb golf courses over the Caribbean.

Having a family vacation over the tropics and at the same time challenging those holes over the pacific is a two action-packed vacation in one package.

Perhaps the most renowned Caribbean golf course would be in Barbados.

Barbados Golf Club is unique in many ways. This 6,805 yard par 72 golf course had hosted a PGA Tournament in 2003 while also holding the Barbados Open in 2000 and 2001.

Those facts alone would certainly speak of the challenge this hole would provide while also giving the best memorable aesthetic experience.

The Buccaneer Golf Course over at St. Croix deserves much praise. It is a 5,810 yard of challenging 18 holes par 70 golf course that at the same time offer spectacular Caribbean Sea view.

The course ratings and slope are 68.2/118, 65.7/112, 69.4/125, and 66.2/113 for the blues, whites (men), whites (women), and reds respectively.

Designed by Bob Joyce in 1973, this St. Croix golf course is also regarded as the best of St. Croix. It even attracted the attention of pro golfer Tim Johnston and has served as Golf Pro at The Buccaneer for 30 years.

For St. Maarten Golf courses, Mullet Bay Golf Club provides recreational golf. Adequate challenge will meet the golfers of this 18 holes St. Maarten Golf Course.

Too bad the resort had been closed for several years, affecting an eventual deprived service to the golf course itself.

Still, this St. Maarten golf course can provide a good challenge and its the only golf course over Saint Martin. But if you have any other options available, skip this St. Maarten Golf Course. The huge price they require just to play on a shabbily kept course isn't worth every penny.

There are other highlights for Caribbean golf courses too. Like the Tierra Del Sol in Aruba which is a world class golf resort designed by the famous golf course architect Robert Trent Jones. Another Trent Jones design is the Cotton Bay Club at the Bahamas.
