The US Virgin Islands beaches are absolutely one of the reasons why you choose to visit islands as your vacation destination because you have not been disappointed with the place. You will even wish to come back more often.

All of the US Virgin Islands beaches are open to the public. Their white-powdery-soft sands against blue-green waters make a perfect sketch for artists and sun lovers alike.

If you prefer a more quiet spots, you can find them also. Without a doubt, the US Virgin Islands has a lot of beaches to suit every taste.

Along the many miles of shoreline, you will find a numerous variety of beaches for swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving and all other water activities you can ever think of.

Some US Virgin Islands beaches may have smaller seashore compared to the others, it’s because south shore winds bring big rolling waves while north shore remain calm, and vise versa.

Taking shells from the sea is not favored. Removing sea fans and living coral is against the law. Watch out for sea urchins in less trafficked area. You might want to be more extra careful in most beaches because there are endangered sea turtles found to be nesting near the surface in the sand.

The US Virgin Islands can easily be reached from anywhere in the world by air or sea with their convenient airport and harbor.

Non-stop flights from major eastern U.S. cities such as New York, Atlanta and Miami are just three hours and a half or less, with several airlines offering regular services to the islands. There are also smaller airlines that offer flights to the islands.

A number of major cruise lines run regularly from Miami and San Juan to St. Thomas and St. Croix throughout the year.

Since St. John Island has no airport, the only access to it is by boat. There are ferries from St. Thomas which operate hourly and daily from Tortola, the largest and most populated of the British Virgin Islands. St Martin offers another perspective on Virgin Island beaches.

There are plenty of reasons to pick any US Virgin Islands beaches. For one, you will be amazed by the world-class beaches of white-powdery-sand and turquoise-blue waters which you can enjoy for swimming and water activities.
